The Buffalo Bills got Gabe Davis back this week against the Miami Dolphins after he missed the prior game against the Tennessee Titans due to an ankle injury. After an excellent game against the Los Angeles Rams, this week was under-whelming in a game where he seemed to have a mismatch against whoever would be covering him.

The Dolphins have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in Xavien Howard but after him, the talent drops off. With Howard covering Stefon Diggs for most of the game, this should have been a big game for Davis.

However, that never materialized and Davis finished with only three receptions for 37 yards and failed to complete a touchdown pass in the second half. Considering the outcome of the game, this play loomed large on the final outcome.

It remains to be seen if the ankle injury still lingered for Gabe Davis and this impacted his performance but the hope is he can bounce back next week against the Baltimore Ravens.
