Buffalo’s quarterback is different. Josh Allen is as big as a tight end, he possesses the throwing velocity of a cannon, and he’s capable of stiff-arming defenders as if he were Derrick Henry. He’s a remarkable talent at the position.

Allen has also found a ton of success against the Dolphins. In fact, the Bills have won seven straight games against Miami with Allen at the helm, including three dominating performances, resulting in him earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

He’s a tough draw for a defense and his skill set makes defending him somewhat impossible.

Allen has added to his toolbox the ability to get the ball out of his hands as quick as the best of them. He can also extend plays with his legs, or just take off with the ball to pick up the first down. In Allen’s rookie season, his running ability made former Bills linebacker, Kiko Alonso, look like he didn’t belong on a pro football field. And in recent years, Allen’s development as a passer has catapulted his name into MVP conversations.

The Bills have an obvious edge at the quarterback position. If Allen plays his game, Buffalo could easily score 30 or more points and dominate the Dolphins on the way to its eighth consecutive win over Miami.

The Buffalo Bills have the edge on paper in this matchup. But of course, this is why they play the games. Buffalo’s offense is humming and outside of the fourth quarter against the Baltimore Ravens, the Dolphins have scored just 34 points in its last two games.

This game has the potential to be a shootout, but with the pieces the Bills have, there’s plenty of reason to believe that Buffalo will thoroughly dominate Miami in this contest.
