4 reasons why the Buffalo Bills will dominate the Miami Dolphins in Week 3
Miami Dolphins secondary
The recent play of Miami’s secondary should cause pause for Dolphins fans. Last week, Xavien Howard gave up four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. Through two weeks, the Dolphins have given up over 500 passing yards as a defense, and its veteran corner, Byron Jones remains on the PUP list; not an ideal combination when facing a potent Buffalo receiving corps.
In addition to subpar defensive performances this season, the Dolphins must be prepared to defend Buffalo’s passing attack.
In Week 2, Stefon Diggs had one of the best performances of his career. He caught 12 passes for 148 yards and three scores. His ability to get open at any time can be demoralizing to a defense, especially against a unit not at its best.
Third-year receiver, Gabe Davis is expected to make his return to the lineup after sitting out Week 2 with an ankle injury. His presence alongside Diggs should help dictate the flow of the game for the Bills on offense.
If the Dolphins’ secondary plays like it did against the Ravens versus Buffalo, it could be a long day in South Beach for the teal and orange.
