Tremaine Edmunds

Similar to Rousseau, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds seemed to be living in the Titans’ backfield in this game. Last week, the Buffalo Bills didn’t call a single blitz but on Monday night sent Edmunds on a delayed blitz that worked out perfectly.

The play occurred on the first play of the second quarter with Edmunds coming right up the middle to sack Ryan Tannehill for a loss of eight. These have been the type of plays that have been missing from Tremaine Edmunds’ game.

This was going to be a pivotal season for Edmunds and he is off to an excellent start. He is a player that will rack up tackles but was missing those splash plays. It remains to be seen exactly why Edmunds has the improvement, whether it is he is just recognizing the plays better and being more instinctive or the additions to the defensive line gives Edmunds more room to make plays, but either way, he looks like a different player this season.
