Rotation on the defensive line

The Buffalo Bills were without two key parts of their defensive line this week as Ed Oliver and Tim Settle were both out due to injuries. The Bills would elevate Brandin Bryant and C.J. Brewer from the practice squad but also had Shaq Lawson active this week. The former first round pick was a healthy scratch last week against the Rams.

All three players saw significant snaps with Bryant leading the way with 27 snaps (48%), followed by Lawson with 23 snaps (41%), and then Brewer with 21 snaps (38%).

In total the Buffalo Bills had nine defensive linemen take snaps in this game and all nine played at least 38% of the snaps. The depth on this part of the defense is remarkable and the performance is equally impressive as the Bills defensive line did a great job against running back Derrick Henry, who averaged less than two yards per carry.
