Buffalo Bills provide an update on Dane Jackson’s injury right before halftime

The Buffalo Bills went into halftime with a 17-7 lead but the score didn’t seem like the important thing as the team’s starting cornerback Dane Jackson suffered a scary neck injury in the closing minutes of the first half.

The injury occurred on a tackle where Tremaine Edmunds came over the top and landed awkwardly on Dane Jackson’s head. The Bills’ cornerback would leave the field in an ambulance but after halftime, the team provided a positive update on Dane Jackson.

According to the Buffalo Bills PR Department, Dane Jackson would be taken to ECMC Hospital for x-rays and a CT scan but he did have movement in all his extremities.

Dane Jackson was a seventh round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2020 out of the University of Pittsburgh. After beginning his career as a depth player, he has been a starting cornerback for the defense since last November. He replaced Tre’Davious White, who suffered an ACL injury on Thanksgiving night against the New Orleans Saints.

Jackson has remained the starter this season as Tre’Davious White was added to the PUP list due to that knee injury. He has played very well this season and even had an interception in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The fact that he has full movement in his extremities is a great sign and the hope is that x-rays and CT scans will continue to bring good news for Dane Jackson.
