Buffalo Bills Week 2 Bold Prediction: Dawson Knox catches his first touchdown

Last week was a quiet game for Dawson Knox as he had only one reception for five yards and two targets over the course of the entire game. The Bills really didn’t need their top tight end involved as Josh Allen had plenty of success throwing on the outside to Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

However, the Bills didn’t commit to Knox long-term right before the season with the contract he signed for him to play a small role in this offense. Last year, Knox had a career year with 49 receptions, 587 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns in only 15 regular season games.

One of the areas that the Bills targeted Knox frequently was in the red zone as 25% of all his targets occurred inside the 20-yard line. He also caught six of his nine touchdowns in this part of the field.

The Bills should be able to move the ball pretty easily against this Titans’ defense and should have more than the two trips to the red zone they had in Week 1. I expect that when they get down to this part of the field, Ken Dorsey calls a few plays to utilize Dawson Knox and he ends up catching his first touchdown of the 2022 season.
