The Buffalo Bills played the first game of Week 1 and are now set to play one of the final games of Week 2 when they play the Tennessee Titans at Highmark Stadium in the first of two games on Monday night.
The Bills are entering on a high note after their impressive 31-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile the Tennessee Titans are hungry for their first win of the season after the New York Giants snuck by them with a 21-20 victory thanks to a gutsy call by Brian Daboll to go for two in the final two minutes.
These are some of the top storylines for the Buffalo Bills entering this matchup in Week 2.
Can the Buffalo Bills end their losing streak to the Titans?
This is the fifth straight season that the Buffalo Bills will play the Tennessee Titans in the regular season and while the Bills won in 2018 and 2019, they have lost their last two meetings. Both of those losses carried significant playoff implications for the Bills and likely cost them a first round bye each year.
In 2020, the Bills would enter their Week 5 matchup with the Titans undefeated but would end up getting blown out by a final score of 42-12. This past season the Bills looked to be in a position to avenge the prior year’s defense and had a 31-24 lead heading into the fourth quarter but the Titans would score 10 points in the final quarter.
The Bills had a chance to at least tie, and even win the game, but Josh Allen slipped on a QB sneak on a fourth down in the red zone in the closing minute.
Even though the Titans are coming into this game losing to the New York Giants, the Buffalo Bills can’t take this game lightly especially considering the potential playoff implications.
