5 early storylines for the Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans in Week 2
How will the Buffalo Bills slow down Derrick Henry?
One of the themes from both of the Buffalo Bills’ losses to the Titans has been that Derrick Henry has had good games against Buffalo. In 2020, Henry did only have 57 rushing yards but found the end zone twice and then last year had a huge game with 20 carries, 143 rushing yards, and three touchdowns.
Henry is a dominating presence at running back and one of the best in the league with the power and speed he possesses at 6’3″ and 247 pounds. It takes a team effort and usually multiple guys collapsing on Henry to limit those yards on the ground.
This offseason the Buffalo Bills not only looked to improve the pass rush but also the run defense with more size on the defensive line. They added defensive tackles DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle and Jordan Phillips who should have a major impact but another player to watch is Shaq Lawson. He was inactive in Week 1 but is one of the better defensive ends on the roster against the run and it wouldn’t be surprising if he is active this week and plays a good part of the defensive snaps.
