Player 2: Siaki Ika, NT Baylor

6’4, 358lbs Siaki Ika is about as big as they come when it comes to nose tackles. He is a pile mover and havoc creator on the inside. Ika has the type of block-eating skills you want on the interior of your defensive line to help free up your other lineman.

Ika lacks some technique with his pad level and footwork because he has always relied on his size to win. Ika does not project as a pass rusher and would likely be off the field in clear passing situations. Ika is likely a late day-two pick and with his limited skillset and versatility, he could even drop to Day 3.

However, he could easily become one of the best run-stopping nose tackles in the NFL. This is the sort of niche role that teams struggle to find players for.

Fit With the Buffalo Bills:

Ika projects as an early two-down player for the Buffalo Bills. To open more space for 1v1 matchups on early downs for guys like Ed Oliver and Greg Rousseau. The Bills do have DaQuan Jones, but he will be on the last year of his deal in 2023.

Ika could work as Jones’s backups paying 1-tech and develop his technique in preparation to take over in 2024.
