5 Buffalo Bills on offense who are destined for the practice squad
Quintin Morris
The preseason battle between O.J. Howard and Tommy Sweeney have been pretty lackluster to this point as neither player has really done enough to separate themselves. It has gotten to the point where it wouldn’t be surprising if the Bills had Quintin Morris as the number two tight end ahead of Howard or Sweeney on the 53-man roster.
In the three preseason games, Morris had four receptions on six targets for 66 yards.
However, the addition of Morris to the 53-man roster only happens if the team is somehow able to trade O.J. Howard as releasing him would result in over $2.5 million in dead cap. It doesn’t seem likely that the Bills will trade Howard and this will mean they will try to bring Morris back on the practice squad.
While Morris may not make the initial 53-man roster it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see him be elevated to the active roster and appear in regular season games this season.
