The Buffalo Bills announced on Saturday that the team had released punter Matt Araiza and will now need to find a new punter before the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Rams.

There are a few free agents that are currently available but also some players who might be cut over the next couple of days that the Buffalo Bills may consider and these may be the five best options.

Matt Haack

This may not be the first option for fans as they watch Matt Haack punt last year for the Buffalo Bills. He struggled for most of the season and had the third lowest average among punters with 50 or more punts with an average of 42.9 yards.

During the preseason, Haack looked better with two punts and having both downed inside the 20.

However, the biggest reason to bring back Haack, and this is only a possibility if he is released by the Indianapolis Colts, is that he has familiarity with Tyler Bass as his holder on field goal attempts.

This has been a key talking point and discussed as a pivotal piece of the training camp battle, so this would be a big reason for the team to bring back their former starting punter if he is released.
