53-man roster projections for the Buffalo Bills after the preseason
Linebacker (6)
Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, Terrel Bernard, Tyrel Dodson, Tyler Matakevich, Baylon Spector
Similar to a lot of these positions, the majority of the depth chart has been set for some time. The Bills have their starters in Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano. They will look to Tyrel Dodson to fill that role played by A.J. Klein the past few years as that third linebacker in 4-3 formations.
One player that could challenge Dodson is Terrel Bernard, the team’s third round draft pick. He is a fast linebacker that does a good job dropping back into coverage. Bernard is a player that could see his role expand as the season goes along.
After these four is Tyler Matakevich who is a big part of the special teams unit and one of the best in the league at that.
The final spot is going to come down to Baylon Spector and Joe Giles-Harris and one that looked to be still undecided heading into the final preseason game. Based on their play, I would pick Spector over Joe Giles-Harris but wouldn’t be surprised if the team went with Joe Giles-Harris due to his play on special teams.
