The Buffalo Bills have one more preseason game in preparation for the 2022 season. The team has already decided that most starters will not play after they played about a quarter last week against the Denver Broncos.

This is good news for players further down the depth chart as their place on the roster may not be secure. The game on Friday night against the Carolina Panthers is going to be their final chance to make their case for a spot on the 53-man roster.

These are five position battles worth paying attention to that are still undecided for the Buffalo Bills.

At this point, it seems the likelihood that the Buffalo Bills are going to be without Tre’Davious White for the season opener is higher than the former All-Pro being on the field against the Los Angeles Rams. This means that the Bills will look to either Kaiir Elam or Christian Benford to be the starter opposite Dane Jackson.

Both rookies have had their moments and for the most part in the two preseason games have played very well. This is a game that it wouldn’t be surprising to see both players play over two quarters to give the coaching staff as much film to make the decision on who is the starter Week 1.

This is the only position battle that involves a starting spot, which is great news for the Buffalo Bills having the rest of their starting lineup set. However, going up against Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense is going to be a big test for whichever rookie gets the start.
