3 Buffalo Bills who shined in preseason shutout to Carolina Panthers
Raheem Blackshear
One of the few bright spots on Friday night was Raheem Blackshear. He’s played well enough to make this list in all three preseason games.
Unfortunately for Blackshear, Buffalo’s backfield is loaded with talent. The three-headed running back corps of Devin Singletary, James Cook, and Zack Moss, leaves little room for leftover carries.
Nevertheless, against the Panthers, Blackshear shined. He carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards and caught both of his targets for six yards per catch. Not only did Blackshear contribute on offense, but he returned two kickoffs for a total of 50 yards.
Blackshear’s quickness and elusiveness were consistently on display. He appears capable of handling some of the load in the backfield, but maybe with another club. If he doesn’t end up on Buffalo’s practice squad, he’s definitely caught the eye of other NFL teams.
