4 Buffalo Bills who could be part of the next round of roster cuts
Jordan Miller
The Buffalo Bills signed Jordan Miller early in training camp after they released cornerback Travon Fuller with a designation of waived/left squad. Miller was a fifth round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2019 but over the past two seasons has played a total of two regular season games, one with the Falcons in 2020 and one with the Saints in 2021.
In the game against the Broncos, Miller played only 21 snaps while the player he is probably currently competing for a spot with, Ja’Marcus Ingram, was on the field for 34 snaps. In both preseason games, Miller has two total tackles.
The coaching staff is going to have a tough decision to make in terms of who starts Week 1 at cornerback if Tre’Davious White is not able to play. That decision is likely coming down to Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the team try and give them as many snaps as possible in this preseason finale to determine the best player to start opposite Dane Jackson.
I would not be surprised to see both players play almost the entire game against the Panthers and if that is the case, they don’t need to have the extra depth at cornerback with other players like Cam Lewis, Nick McCloud, and Ingram available as well.
