The Buffalo Bills are likely only going to have five or six cornerbacks on the 53-man roster and with Tre’Davious White, Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, Siran Neal, Kaiir Elam, and Christian Benford essentially locks, it would seem Cam Lewis would not have a spot.

Cam Lewis has been with the team the past two years, primarily on the practice squad, but has been called up and appeared in 12 games over that stretch. He is a versatile cornerback that probably is best as a nickel corner but can also play outside in certain situations.

In addition to his experience at cornerback, he can also contribute to special teams and last year played 24% or more special teams snaps in each of the final seven regular season games. He was a player that was getting good reviews early in training camp and strong performance in preseason games can only help the Buffalo Bills if they don’t have a spot for him.

If there is a team looking for depth at cornerback that can contribute in other ways, like on special teams, then Cam Lewis is a player that might generate some interest in a trade.
