Touchdown regression for Singletary

Last year, Devin Singletary had seven rushing touchdowns and that was a career-high for him after finding the end zone a total of four times in his first two years in the league. One of the reasons he was probably a league winner for people was that he had 235 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns from Week 14 to Week 16, which is typically the playoffs in fantasy football leagues.

Entering this season, based on what he has done looking at his full three year career, it is probably safe to assume that there is going to be some touchdown regression for Singletary.

One of the reasons that Singletary found the end zone more at the end of the year was he was getting more work inside the 10 yard line.

Last year, he had 18 total carries inside the 10-yard line but had 13 of those in the final three weeks of the season. He scored four touchdowns on those carries so if he doesn’t get that work this year, which is certainly possible based on the next point, it will limit his scoring potential this year and is another reason that James Cook should score more in 2022.
