Madden 23 Ratings: 81 overall

Another key part of the Buffalo Bills’ defense, one that finished first in the league last year in a number of categories, was linebacker Matt Milano. The Bills re-signed Milano to a four-year deal last offseason and he had one of the best years of his career last season.

He would finish the year with 86 total tackles, three sacks, and five passes defended but even with the role he played last year Milano was only the 21st best outside linebacker in Madden 23 with an overall rating of 81.

One of the areas that Milano excels in is dropping back into coverage but it would be hard to know that based on the ratings. He has the sixth highest rating among outside linebackers in man coverage and only the ninth highest in zone coverage.

While the challenge for Milano is that he is included in a position with edge rushers in 3-4 defenses, that typically rank higher but he should be closer to an overall rating of 85. If his Madden 23 ratings were increased by just four points, he would be about 14th and that would be a much better spot for Matt Milano.
