Ken Dorsey wants to improve yards after the catch

Prior to practice, offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey met with the media and one of the topics that were brought up was yards after catch. According to Heather Prusak, Dorsey said this has been a focus in training camp.

Last year, the Bills finished in the middle of the league in yards after catch but this was due in part to how much they threw the ball. When looking at the average yards after catch per completion, the Bills ranked last in the league with an average of only 4.2 yards after catch.

This offseason the Buffalo Bills have tried to bring in players that can help in this regard like running backs James Cook and Duke Johnson along with giving Isaiah McKenzie an opportunity in the slot. All three of these players should be able to have a positive impact on this stat this season.
