AFC Predictions: Playoffs

1st: Buffalo Bills

2nd: Indianapolis Colts

3rd: Los Angeles Chargers

4th: Cincinnati Bengals

5th: Kansas City Chiefs

6th: Baltimore Ravens

7th: Denver Broncos

When looking at the conference in these AFC predictions, there are 11 teams that look to be good enough to make the playoffs this season. For the Buffalo Bills, the best way they can earn a spot to the playoffs is to win the division and the AFC East potentially holds two advantages entering this season.

First, the Bills on paper have the best roster in the AFC East by what appears to be a wide margin. This will help them secure that playoff spot and then the focus turns to seeding. When considering the AFC East is one of the weaker divisions in the conference that gives them a good chance of earning the top seed.

Other teams that could contend for that spot, like the Chiefs, Chargers, or Bengals, are likely going to find themselves finishing the season with a .500 record within the division. Meanwhile, the Bills could secure five or even six wins against AFC East rivals. This slight edge could be just what the Bills need to claim that top spot and a first round bye.

If that does happen, it also means the playoffs will go through Western New York which is a significant advantage when looking at the other teams in the playoffs. This year has the potential to be a special season for the Bills and is set up for them to reach the Super Bowl for the first time since the mid-1990s.
