Tavon Austin vs. Marquez Stevenson

The final position battle on the offensive side of the ball may ultimately be decided on special teams and not offense. The Bills are looking for kickoff and punt returners this offseason and Tavon Austin and Marquez Stevenson are two players who should be factors in that training camp battle.

Marquez Stevenson was a sixth round pick by the Buffalo Bills last year but saw only six snaps all season on offense. He primarily saw the field as a returner and had 21 total returns between punts and kickoffs.

He will be competing with Tavon Austin, who is a former first round pick by the Rams but at 32 years old is getting towards the end of his career. This past season he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars and had some of his biggest stat totals in recent years with 24 receptions, 213 receiving yards, and one touchdown.

There is a possibility that neither player makes the 53-man roster, especially if the Buffalo Bills only keep six wide receivers this year. However, if the Bills expand that total to seven this will be an interesting training camp battle to watch this year.
