Spencer Brown

Spencer Brown provided the Bills with a midseason upgrade at right tackle, but he wasn’t exactly consistent during his rookie season. A big mauler in the run game, Brown was surprisingly agile and made some nice pancakes in the second level. However, his physicality was a problem at times.

Despite being 49th in snaps among offensive tackles, Brown was tied for 10th in penalties committing 8. He gave up just one sack, but those 10-yard penalties can be just as bad as sacks.

The Buffalo Bills’ offensive success last year was heavily tied to the offensive line’s performance. With veterans Dion Dawkins, Mitch Morse, and Rodger Saffold, we know what we’re going to get from them, but Brown is a huge wildcard for this team heading into 2022.

Brown started from week 12 on, coinciding with a stretch in which the Bills averaged 146 rush yards a game, up 27 yards from their average in weeks 1 through 11. With Brown’s physical gifts and athleticism, he has the upside to become one of the better right tackles in the game.
