. . Matthew Judon. 1. player. 47.

The best pass rusher in the AFC East resides in New England with the Patriots in Matthew Judon. The Patriots signed Judon last year to a four-year, $54.5 million contract after a number of excellent seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

In fact, Judon had back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons in his final two years in Baltimore and continued that streak in New England with his third Pro Bowl nomination. He had a career-high in sacks with 12.5 to go along with 60 total tackles, 25 QB hits, one pass defended, and one fumble recovery.

Judon had an impressive stretch of games from Week 8 to Week 13 where he had at least 0.5 sacks each game and in total had six sacks as well as 13 QB hits.

The pressure will be on Judon to once again have a similar season with the Patriots not having much of a pass rusher outside of the three-time Pro Bowler. Last year, the player who was second in that category was Kyle Van Noy, who had five, but he was released this offseason.
