B. . . Buffalo Bills. MARIO ADDISON

Free Agent Contract: 3 years, $30.45 million

Another former Carolina Panthers defensive lineman the Buffalo Bills signed that offseason was Mario Addison. He was a veteran defensive end and it was surprising to see the team offer a three-year deal to a player who would be turning 33 that season.

However, Addison played pretty well in both seasons with the Bills as he had 12 sacks during that time. He would also lead the team in that category both years, which speaks to how effective he was but also how ineffective the position was as a whole.

Addison originally signed a three-year deal but last offseason the team restructured his contract that created cap space while also making the final year of his deal voidable. The veteran pass rusher would leave in free agency this year and sign with the Houston Texans.

At the time, the Buffalo Bills seemingly had to make a decision between Addison and their former first round pick Shaq Lawson, who was coming off a promising final season with Buffalo but was also a free agent. Both players signed similar contracts but Lawson would sign with the Miami Dolphins.

However, over the past two seasons Mario Addison was much more productive so in that sense, this was a good move by the Buffalo Bills.
