Over the past few seasons, the Buffalo Bills have seen players have breakout seasons and be recognized for it with their first career Pro Bowl nominations. In 2020, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs would be named to the Pro Bowl for the first time, and last year it was left tackle Dion Dawkins.

This season is no different as there are a number of players who could have breakout seasons and be named to the Pro Bowl for the first time, as well as some players who have been snubs that hopefully finally are recognized and earn their first nomination.

Which Buffalo Bills have the best chance of earning their first career Pro Bowl nomination in 2022?

The first player is one that probably should have been a Pro Bowler the past two seasons but seemingly Jordan Poyer gets overlooked every year. Since joining the Bills in 2017, Poyer has been one of the most consistent players on the defense with at least 93 tackles every season, two or more sacks in four of the five seasons with four or more interceptions in three of the five seasons.

Poyer finally received some recognition for his performance last year with a first-team All-Pro nomination and there is no reason to think that Poyer won’t have a similar season to what he has shown the past few years in this defense.

The one thing that will help Poyer is if he is able to have similar turnover numbers to what he had this past season and if he does that, he should finally be a Pro Bowler in 2022.
