If the Buffalo Bills were to win a Super Bowl this season, it would be the first time in their franchise. It would certainly be incredible to see for a franchise that came so close in the early 1990s and is in its best position to return to the big game since that stretch.

General manager Brandon Beane has added plenty of talent over the years but his biggest free agent addition came this season when he signed edge rusher Von Miller. The former All-Pro is coming off a season where he won his second Super Bowl, this time with the Los Angeles Rams after winning with the Denver Broncos earlier in his career.

Von Miller seeking history with the Buffalo Bills

On Tuesday, Von Miller met with the media after the first minicamp practice of the week. He spoke about what it would mean to bring a Lombardi Trophy to Western New York but also what it would mean for him.

If Von Miller were to win a Super Bowl with Buffalo, he would be the first player in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with three different franchises as Sal Capaccio tweeted.

In the history of the NFL, there have been 64 players who have won Super Bowls with multiple teams and Miller joined this group this past season. However, none have been able to win three Super Bowls with three teams while playing in each game. Linebacker Matt Miller won three Super Bowls with three teams but was not active for the Super Bowl win by Washington when they beat the Buffalo Bills.

The opportunity is certainly there for the Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl with the talent they have, led by quarterback Josh Allen. However, it won’t be easy in an AFC conference that has arguably four or five legitimate Super Bowl contenders with the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Denver Broncos (Von Miller’s former team).
