Cincinnati Bengals in the second half of the season

Of all the teams on the Buffalo Bills schedule, the one team that they should be hoping to see in the second half of the season is the Cincinnati Bengals. This is due to the fact that the Bengals have the best wide receiver group on their schedule and may have a case for being the best group in the entire NFL.

The trio of Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd creates challenges for most defenses and the Bills will want their secondary at its best for this matchup. However, for that to happen this is a game that might have to take place later in the season.

The Bills’ top cornerback Tre’Davious White is working his way back from an ACL injury suffered last year. Last month, Sean McDermott said they “have to remain realistic” and didn’t give a timeline.

However, if the Bills want White to be as close to fully recovered for this game, any extra time would be beneficial.

In addition, the Buffalo Bills drafted Kaiir Elam in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He is expected to be the starter, either replacing White or starting opposite White, and if he can add a few games of experience before this matchup it would certainly help.

The Bengals’ wide receivers are going to cause problems for most NFL defenses this coming season but if this is later in the season, the Buffalo Bills’ cornerbacks would have a better chance of slowing them down.
