The complete 2022 NFL schedule won’t be released until Thursday night but on Monday morning, the Buffalo Bills found out at least one of their games ahead of the full schedule release. The team is set to play the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football in Week 2 at Highmark Stadium.

This game will be part of a doubleheader on Monday Night Football so kickoff time will be at 7:15 PM.

This is the third year in a row that the Buffalo Bills will be playing the Titans in primetime but the first time at home. In 2020, the Bills were originally scheduled to play Tennessee on Sunday afternoon in Week 5.

However, the Titans were dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak and the game was rescheduled to the following week on Tuesday night. The Buffalo Bills would see their undefeated start to the season come to an end in a 42-16 blowout loss.

This past season, the game was much more competitive but the Buffalo Bills would still end up coming short against the Titans.

They would play Tennessee on Monday Night Football and lose 34-31 after Josh Allen slipped on a fourth down play down near the goal line in the closing seconds. This loss played a major role in the seeding and was one of the reasons the Titans would earn the top spot in the AFC.

Buffalo Bills have a significant matchup early in the 2022 season

While the Tennessee Titans did trade away A.J. Brown during the 2022 NFL Draft, this is a team that once again should be competing for a playoff spot. This is a game the Buffalo Bills can’t take lightly and could have major playoff implications at the end of the season like they saw last year.

A win over the Titans should help set up Buffalo to once again have a top seed within the conference and put them in a position to have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
