Buffalo Bills 2022 NFL Draft Day 3 Target: Calvin Austin III

The addition of James Cook certainly can help the Buffalo Bills passing game as he is one of the best pass-catching running backs in this year’s class and is a player that the coaching staff can move around.

However, they could also look to add speed at the wide receiver position, and Calvin Austin III out of Memphis is one of the fastest at the position. He finished with a career average of 16.3 yards per reception and had over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the final two seasons and 20 total touchdowns.

He is a smaller wide receiver at 5’8″ but could be an excellent slot receiver in the NFL. This is a potential spot the Buffalo Bills could be looking for a long-term answer after releasing Cole Beasley and signing Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal.

A player like Calvin Austin III would be a great fit as he not only could help here but also has some experience as a punt returner, a position the Bills don’t have a clear answer for.
