Potential Buffalo Bills Day 2 Draft Target #1: James Cook

He may not have the same game as his brother, but James could be an effective NFL back just like Dalvin. One of the strongest dual-threat options in the draft (1,028 yards from scrimmage, 11 total TDs in 2021), the Georgia product could upgrade the Buffalo backfield and work in addition to Devin Singletary and Duke Johnson.

Cook would give the backfield a speed element the Bills’ backfield has needed for some time. He totaled four games in 2021 where he had a rush or reception that gained 40 or more yards. His 4.42 40-speed and 10-foot-4 broad jump often show up on tape.

One thing always to note with running backs is the lack of touches in college. Cook only got 297 career touches in college, whereas Hall got 289 alone last season.
