Buffalo Bills Draft Target: Jalen Wydermyer

Jalen Wydermyer had a productive three seasons playing for Texas A&M and was fairly consistent each season. He finished with 118 career receptions, 1,468 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns in those three years but never had less than 32 receptions, 445 receiving yards, or four touchdowns in a single season.

According to Aaron Wilson, the Bills brought the former Texas A&M tight end in for a visit.

The scouting report on NFL.com has Wydermyer’s draft projection as the final two rounds to potentially being a priority undrafted free agent target. The concerns with Wydermyer are similar to Likely with questions about how effective he can be as a run blocker.

Lance Zierlein also notes an issue with drops, which is something that Dawson Knox dealt with the first two years in the league. If the Bills believe they might be able to reach a long-term deal with Knox, a player like Wydermyer could be a smart choice as a development-type prospect that could become that second tight end and eventually replace Howard.
