Kansas City Chiefs

One team that currently is scheduled to draft after the Buffalo Bills in the first round is the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the Chiefs have back-to-back picks at 29 and 30 with the 29th pick coming from the Miami Dolphins as part of the Tyreek Hill trade and they may use those picks to move up into the first round.

The Chiefs top needs are probably wide receiver and cornerback, which are two positions that the Buffalo Bills are likely seriously considering in the opening round of the 2022 NFL Draft. If there is a run at either position early and options are starting to diminish, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Kansas City package those two picks to move up, possibly just ahead of the Bills.

General manager Brandon Beane should be prepared for the possibility of Kansas City trading ahead of Buffalo. If that does happen, and the Chiefs take a player they wanted, the Bills may elect to trade back and acquire more draft capital. This also creates more time to evaluate the prospects available with the second round taking place on Friday.
