David Ojabo, Edge (Michigan)

Before he tore his Achilles at his Pro Day, David Ojabo was considered a top talent in this year’s draft. While Ojabo was second fiddle to likely number one overall pick Aiden Hutchinson, he was frequently seen in the Top 10 of mock drafts. While the injury to Ojabo is unfortunate and likely to shoot him down draft boards, the Buffalo Bills may be willing to take a look.

Ojabo only has one year of college production as he shot onto the scene this past season as Hutchinson’s pass-rushing partner. Ojabo is long and athletic, two traits that are near must in the modern pass rusher. Ojabo won most of his reps with exceptional athleticism, so there is concern about this Achilles injury. However, the potential is there for Ojabo, who could easily fall to Buffalo.

While Brandon Beane has not been known to draft players coming off injury or that currently have sustained an injury, Ojabo, a top talent in this draft class, could have Beane intrigued. The Buffalo Bills would have to be very comfortable with a player coming off an Achilles injury which may be unlikely. Ojabo would probably sit out the entirety of the 2022 season recovering from his injury.
