9 former Buffalo Bills players set to make debut in the USFL
OT Garrett McGhin, New Jersey Generals
In 2019, Garrett McGhin signed with the Buffalo Bills after going undrafted after a career playing tackle for East Carolina. McGhin was placed on injured reserve in his first training camp with the Buffalo Bills and released just days later.
McGhin was then signed by the Carolina Panthers and played two games before landing on injured reserve. McGhin spent the summer of 2020 with the Bills but was released in July. McGhin was picked in the fifth round of the USFL draft to play tackle for the New Jersey Generals.
CB Brian Allen, Birmingham Stallions
Brian Allen was selected in the fifth round of the NFL draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He lasted for two seasons before spending 2019 with the Seattle Seahawks. Allen finished the 2020 training camp with the Buffalo Bills but could not make the team, and signed with the San Francisco 49ers practice squad.
Allen spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns before he was drafted in the eighth round of the USFL draft by the Birmingham Stallions.
