Length of the Deal

With this deal tacking on four years to a contract that had two years left, Diggs is slated to play six more years with the Buffalo Bills. That would push the Maryland native into his age-34 season.

If he were to play that long, Diggs would be following in the footsteps of names like Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith Sr., and Anquan Boldin, as players who played well past age 30.

I like Diggs’ prospects because he’s always been somewhat of a tweener receiver. Although he’s got the speed to play outside, he’s got the quickness and strong hands to be an effective player in the slot. During his tenure with the Buffalo Bills, Diggs has taken 368 snaps from the slot, which is 20% of his snap share with the team.

Diggs could easily slide into that role as he gets up in age. So considering that, I believe he’ll age gracefully.
