The final player is certainly one of the most debated players on the Buffalo Bills as he is someone that has tremendous potential but hasn’t seemingly reached it quite yet, even with making the Pro Bowl twice in the first four years in the league.

Among the three players on this list, Edmunds undoubtedly would garner the most interest from teams. He is still very young at 23 years old (even after starting four seasons) and has been productive with 100 or more total tackles each season.

The Buffalo Bills though could consider a trade strictly due to a sizable cap hit this year and a potential contract negotiation looming large this offseason or after the season. Edmunds is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has a cap hit over $12.7 million, which ranks fifth among inside linebackers according to Spotrac.

When considering his age and production to this point, Edmunds is expected to command a top contract for his position. If the Buffalo Bills are not prepared to offer something like that, it might make sense to trade him this offseason to move up in the NFL Draft and avoid the risk of potentially losing him with nothing in return next free agency.

If the Buffalo Bills were to trade Edmunds, it would create a big hole on this defense and something that the front office would have to address. However, if they are focused on moving up, Edmunds is the one player that might make the most sense to trade.
