The next player is one that is tough to gauge what he might be able to return in a trade. Some teams could look at Ford as a young offensive lineman who has position versatility as he played right tackle as a rookie in 2019 before moving inside to guard the past two seasons. The former second round pick is only 25 years old and is in the final year of his rookie contract.

However, the concerns would be that Ford had a serious knee injury that ended his 2020 season early and this past season was benched after three games. He would get a chance to start again later in the season but continued to struggle.

Among the three players on this list, Ford is likely the one player that would bring back the least return, or Buffalo would need to include more pieces in a trade package. When considering the team signed Rodger Saffold, re-signed Ike Boettger, as well as matched Ryan Bates’ offer from the Chicago Bears, there is enough depth here to potentially trade Ford in an effort to move up the NFL Draft.
