3 big ways the Buffalo Bills helped Josh Allen this offseason

The first two ways listed indirectly should help Josh Allen on the field but the third way will have a direct impact on the field. The Buffalo Bills released starting slot receiver Cole Beasley earlier this month and had to find an experienced, reliable pass-catcher to replace him. The addition of Jamison Crowder certainly fits that description and should be a great addition for this offense.

Last year, the Bills had Cole Beasley who had been the starter since 2019 but at 32 years old, he looked like was starting to slow down. He had a career-high 82 receptions but a career low yards per reception of 8.5 yards.

As for Crowder, his career average in yards per reception is 11.8 yards and he has been able to do it with quarterbacks who have not played at the same level that Allen has. Crowder’s best season was in 2019 when he had 78 receptions, 833 receiving yards, and six touchdowns in his first season with the New York Jets.

In this offense, Crowder should have a great chance to surpass those totals and the Buffalo Bills found a great replacement for Cole Beasley as the starting slot receiver that will be a big help for Josh Allen.
