Buffalo Bills DE Boogie Basham

The Buffalo Bills brought in free agents Von Millers and Shaq Lawson to try and help the defensive end position. However, even with the new additions last year’s second round pick Boogie Basham has a chance to be a bigger part of this defense.

The Buffalo Bills rotate players at this position regularly so there will certainly be a chance to earn those snaps. For Basham, the challenge seemingly was to just be active on game day because when he was, Basham made an impact.

The former Wake Forest pass rusher appeared in only eight games and in those games played 30 or more snaps twice. However, he would finish with 18 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and three QB hits.

There will be plenty of competition at this position during training camp after Von Miller and Greg Rousseau, who are guaranteed to be the starters, and their spots at the top of the depth chart are not in jeopardy. After those two, the spots are certainly up for grabs and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Basham end up being the next player behind them.
