Buffalo Bills Rumors

Bills restructure Matt Milano’s contract

According to Sal Capaccio, the Buffalo Bills are reportedly converting Matt Milano’s base salary to a signing bonus.

This change in the contract doesn’t change the total but creates cap space because the signing bonus can be spread over future years and according to Capaccio it could create about $4 million in cap space.

Chandler Jones

One of the biggest free agents left that hasn’t reportedly signed is pass rusher Chandler Jones. The pass rush is something that Buffalo likely wants to upgrade this offseason and Jones would be a great fit alongside Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham.

According to Jordan Schultz, Buffalo was among a number of teams that were interested in Chandler Jones and it will be interesting to see if they are able to agree to terms with the former All-Pro pass rusher.

Jarvis Landry

One player that wasn’t scheduled to be a free agent was Jarvis Landry, who was released by the Cleveland Browns this week. The slot receiver position is one that Buffalo could take in a number of different directions but first, a decision needs to be made on Cole Beasley, who requested a trade.

If the Bills trade Beasley, or even release him, they could look to Isaiah McKenzie or consider a free agent like Jarvis Landry. Armando Salguero after Landry was released tweeted to “Watch the Buffalo Bills.”

Later on Monday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter listed the Packers and Saints as potential landing spots for Jarvis Landry which could be an indication that Buffalo no longer was considering the veteran receiver. This is one rumor with plenty of moving parts and is worth monitoring.
