3 running backs the Buffalo Bills should consider trading for this offseason
Jamaal Williams could be the answer for the Buffalo Bills
While the two running backs previously mentioned would certainly grab headlines, the one running back that could make the most sense, in terms of trade compensation and current contract, is Detroit Lions’ running back Jamaal Williams.
He joined the Lions last offseason after four seasons with the Green Bay Packers. In his first season with the Lions, he had 603 rushing yards, 157 receiving yards, and four total touchdowns.
Even though he only played one season so far with Detroit, they may be willing to trade him with the depth they have at the position with D’Andre Swift, Craig Reynolds, and Jermar Jefferson who was drafted by the Lions last year.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills would be adding a younger running back, who is only 26 years old, and has one year left on his current contract. He is a player that comes in and can compete with Devin Singletary for the starting job but Buffalo would not be committed to him long-term if it doesn’t work out.
