Player to Watch at Combine for Buffalo Bills: Drake London, USC

Measurables: 6-5, 210lbs.

Drake London was one of the most dominant receivers during the college football season in 2021. For a guy who plays pretty much exclusively from the slot, his size is insane. Standing 6’5″, London is huge for a slot receiver and may project more as an outside guy in the NFL.

London seems to lack elite speed, making him a genuine deep threat. He often would be in jump ball situations at USC and, more often than not, come down with the ball because he is such a special player. London will struggle a little bit at the next level to separate and get open when one on one.

However, the true beauty of the combine is that London could quickly put a lot of these concerns to rest. London does most of everything else really well, so if he could put a tremendous athletic performance on in Indianapolis, he could easily make himself some money. The most important parts of the combine for London will all be related to speed and change of direction. So keep an eye out for his 40-yard dash and 3-cone times.

London will likely be one of the best jumpers at the combine, considering his brief stint on the USC basketball team. But it will be fascinating to see how he runs and his agility testing. London looks like he changes directions well for someone standing at 6-5, but it will be interesting to see where his numbers stand compared to the rest of the WR class.
