Final Thoughts
I really expect Brandon Beane to trade some of these picks. Considering how many rookies made the roster last season, there is no way that if the Buffalo Bills draft nine players again, those nine will be under Buffalo’s control at the end of the season. It could be my recency bias of the Senior Bowl just occurring, but I did not intend for this draft to be filled with so many players from the Senior Bowl. Granted, their attendance validates their abilities as potential NFL prospects.
After looking over the results, this really looks like one of many best-case scenario drafts for the Buffalo Bills. It is hard to imagine that some of these players will fall to where they did. However, there is still an entire NFL combine where NFL teams can overanalyze some pointless measurements and performances and significantly alter their draft boards.
Overall, I love the first five rounds, and after that, we are all just guessing. My favorite draft pick is either Calvin Austin III or Cam Taylor-Britt, who may not have a significant impact in their first year, but I think they will both be above average players in the league by their fourth year.
