Buffalo Bills add several Senior Bowl standouts in 7-round mock draft

185th Overall: Dylan Parham, OG/C, Memphis

Measurables: 6-3, 285lbs.

I have no idea how Dylan Parham fell this late in this draft. The Pro Football Networks’ big board may just be low on him, but drafting Parham here would be a steal. A guard in college, Parham played some center at the senior bowl, and holy moly, was he good.

This is a weak center class, so it probably shot Parham up some draft boards. Parham, another lineman who started playing the position late, moved to the offensive line spot in 2018. He has outstanding movement in what I have seen both in games and at the Senior Bowl, but he definitely is on the smaller side of interior lineman.

In some highlights at Memphis, he showed that he really sees blitzes and stunts well, rarely getting beat by unique defensive looks. Although strength and size may be an issue, Parham can be a high-level backup in this league and would be a steal in the 6th round.

204th Overall: Matt Araiza, P San Diego State

Measurables: 6-2, 200lbs.

2021 Stats: 79 punts, 51.2 yards per punt, 50 Field Goals Made

It worked out for the Bills when they drafted Tyler Bass and essentially found their kicker for the foreseeable future. After an extremely disappointing year from Matt Haack at punter, why not try the same thing but at a different specialist position? Araiza has a massive leg and if you need convincing, just look at this clip of him backed up in the end zone.

I am no punting expert, but Araiza may be worth a draft pick if it means improving at punter. Also, most of the players here won’t really have a shot at making the Bills roster at this point in the draft.

And this past season, Buffalo had two separate draft picks poached from their roster, essentially making them a waste. So instead of a potential practice squad player, here is a guy who could actually make the roster. Also, is there a better compliment to Tyler Bass’ single-eye black than a punter with a shooting sleeve?
