Buffalo Bills Free Agent: OL Ryan Bates

The next player is offensive lineman Ryan Bates, who has been with the team since 2019 after they traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for him. He didn’t have many chances to play the first two years with Buffalo but after an injury to Ike Boettger, Bates got a chance to start at offensive guard.

He did a good job in that role and showed he is capable of being a starter in the NFL. The fact that he is a restricted free agent should help negotiations and the Bills should be able to work out a new deal.

If he were to return and not necessarily win the starting job, he is a valuable player to have on the roster because he could really play pretty much any position on the offensive line except for left tackle.
