Buffalo Bills Senior Bowl Target: Zion Johnson, OG (Boston College)

The Buffalo Bills found success towards the end of the season with their offensive line but this is something they are likely going to address this offseason, particularly the interior of the offensive line.

One of the top offensive guards in this year’s draft class is offensive guard Zion Johnson from Boston College. He started three years for the Eagles and the scouting report on The Draft Network describes a player that could step into the starting lineup as a rookie:

"I believe he is best in pass protection but he’s still an above average run blocker that is comfortable operating in space. Johnson has plug-and-play potential at guard in the NFL and given how consistent his technique is, I would keep him on the left side. He has the makeup of an above average starter that can lock down a starting role at least through a second contract."

While the Buffalo Bills will want guards that can help in the run game, the ultimate goal is to make sure that Josh Allen is protected. This is what Johnson can bring with pass protection as his strength but can still be a good run blocker.
