Defensive Player of the Year: Jordan Poyer

The Buffalo Bills finished the regular season with the number one defense in yards allowed and points allowed and was one of the best groups in the NFL. That is due in large part to safety Jordan Poyer, who once again had an excellent season and was finally recognized with a first-team All-Pro nomination.

Poyer would finish the regular season with 93 total tackles, nine passes defended, five interceptions and three sacks.

The strength of this defense is clearly their safety duo with Poyer and Micah Hyde. This award potentially could have went to both players because both had great seasons. However, Poyer gets the slight edge with the sack total.
