Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots: Report card from Wild Card win
Linebackers
This week the Buffalo Bills had more three linebacker sets on the field to counter the power run game of the New England Patriots. It clearly worked as the Patriots running backs had only 57 rushing yards and averaged 3.3 yards per carry.
Tremaine Edmunds led the way with eight total tackles, followed by Matt Milano with five total tackles and A.J. Klein had four total tackles. Edmunds and Milano also each had a QB hit on Saturday night with Milano adding a pass defended. That tipped pass actually ended in an interception, with Levi Wallace making the play.

Secondary
Mac Jones actually had his best game of the year against this defense as he threw for 232 passing yards and two touchdowns.
However, watching that game it never seemed like Jones was playing well as he needed 38 pass attempts to throw for 232 passing yards and did have two interceptions, with Micah Hyde and Levi Wallace each picking him off once. In addition, the second touchdown came in the closing minutes once the game was out of reach.
The Buffalo Bills secondary has been playing great football but will certainly be tested next week, either against the Cincinnati Bengals or Kansas City Chiefs.
