The final player who stood out in the final regular season game was defensive end Mario Addison. The veteran pass rusher had two sacks against the New York Jets and brought his season total to seven. He has now led the team in this category for the past two seasons.

Addison is another player who is starting to rack up sacks at the end of the year as he also had a sack last week against the Atlanta Falcons. The Bills have tried to manage his workload this year in hopes that he can be productive at the end of the season and into the playoffs. It appears that strategy has paid off with the way Addison closed the regular season.

Looking forward to the playoffs, the pass rush is going to be key to the success of this defense. This week they will face a rookie in Mac Jones and if Buffalo gets past New England, they likely will have to travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs.

The Bills are going to need these types of performances from Ed Oliver and Mario Addison, along with the rest of the defensive line, to put them in the best position to advance in the playoffs.
